They tell her she’s not in love with this man, this monster, and her mother tries to scream sense into her but their words fail. The unlikely pair speak with coy smiles as the gods discuss what to do with them, what to do with her, how he’s twisted her into something she’s not.

But they are wrong. Hades has not manipulated her, he’s simply brought out all the things she was always meant to be. She may have been born a flower goddess, but she was destined to belong to his world as well, to be his queen.

Wasn’t that what he said so long ago?
